Happy Birthday Mom!

I won't tell your age, but I will publish your card publicly. I want the world to know...

As ya'll know I am studying with Beth Moore's Esther study. This morning she highlighted Esther being an orphan. Through a few points and steps Beth gets to her main focus- having no mother. My thought immediately was, "I am glad I have my mom!" To which later I added, "to have no guide towards the Light... how do you find It? The Truth?" During the last year of my life I have been Very fortunate to have Edith Marie as my mother. The guidence, encouragement, and prayers lifting up my heart when I was hurting a hurt that was so unexpected. When she too was aching for her loss of Jacob (a hurt she never should have encountered). And with her immense pain to see her children hurting so... she continued to pray, to ask for prayer, to encourage, to guide, and to snap her fingers(just when needed). I am blessed to have a mother that would sacrifice so much for her children. Where would I be without her? I don't even want to imagine...

You are indeed a blessed woman to have a woman of God for a mother. We can find fault with anyone, especially parents nowadays it seems are targets, but the bottom line is: Did she love God? Did she show that love to you? I'm not a perfect mother but I know there is not one day of my childrens lives that they were not loved. That's times 9 for your mom!! She's an amazing woman and I see that without being her child (: "Her children rise up and call her blessed;...Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all." Prov. 31:28A & 29 God promises long life to those who honor their parents, the first commandment with a promise.(Exo.20:12)Live long and prosper Joylynn!! And Happy Birthday Edie!!
