Fear

Here I sit after a good nights sleep full of Fear.
I don't know where God wants me; of what He has in store for my life.
Fear.
I am fearful that if I choose one path He will punish me
because it is not the path He wants me to take.
Well, not so much as punish, but allow bad things to happen to Joel and I (again!).
I am afraid He won't protect us.
I stand here at this fork in my life and I am not sure which way to go.
What is Your answer Lord?

I think that everyone has felt that at some time or another... the fear of - what if I'm not doing the right thing? (I know I certainly have.)

In a time of uncertainty, know that God has good thoughts of you (even if it doesn't feel like it), that He wants what is best for you (even if it doesn't feel like it), and that you are loved (even if it doesn't feel like it). The love that you and Joel have for Jacob is the same type of love God has for us. He's not going to strike you down or push you away, but looks upon you lovingly as a Father.

We love you guys so much and are continuing to pray for you. I'm so glad we got to come out and visit when we did...

... but is His best for me to punish me for my mistakes?

Mercy Joylynn! Remember He is a Merciful God.

Grace Joylynn! Remember He is a Gracious God.

Jeremiah 29:11

'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.'

My words fail, but God's can give hope.

Joylynn, God has not given us the spirit of fear 2 Timothy 1:7, so who do you think this fear is coming from?
However, at times we interpret lack of peace as fear, which is not the same. When in doubt, wait on Him, He will direct your steps. He says He will guide us with His Eye. Psalm 32:8. You must be focusing on Him to see His Eye, just as a mother directs her children with eye contact.
When Peter looked at the waves around him, he started to sink. Keep your focus on the Lord and He will sustain you.
Friends, family, songs, Scripture all help us to stay balanced. When Moses' and Joshua's arms got tired, others held them up. That's what we are all here for. In being vulnerable and telling us when your arms are tired you allow us to do our part to uplift you. You have a lot of love and prayers available to you and Joel.
May you know the peace and love of God that passes all understanding.
Love, Mom (and Dad)

There are times when God brings us closer to Him and other times when Satan is trying to destroy our relationship with God. This is the time that God is drawing you & Joel closer to Him each and every day. I am still having bad dreams each night and waking up in the middle of the night scared, but the I remember that God is with me. Like what Mom said about having us there to help you through this by email, phone call or blogmail. Remember if you want to talk, you can call me.

Oh Joylynn, I am so desperately sorry. Please remember the wonderful words of the song from scripture: His Name is as ointment poured full. Jesus. He promises that He inhabits the praises of His people. As we praise Him as Peter did in prison, He is near to us, able to comfort us & give us hope. Jesus. At His Name EVERY knee shall bow and EVERY tongue confess. The Name above all Names. Jesus. The One who conquered death. Jesus. The One that promises that He has gone to prepare a place for us. Jacob went straight into His welcoming arms just as he came to yours when he was born. He is safe. So are you. "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." Fear is a tool of the enemy. Recognize where the fear is from so you will know how to fight it. With His Name. In His Name. His Precious eternal Name above all Names. Jesus.
Hold on tight to each other and to Him. In His love, with continual prayers, A.Susan

Maybe it is not so much Fear, as it is lack of Trust.

Do I trust Him to give me the desires of my heart- motherhood?
