- anger in a marriage that is being held onto. 2004 - 2006
- feeling that God is Nowhere to be seen or heard. 2008
- desperately wanting God to save me from having to make a decision. 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 - who am I kidding - my life.
- learning most people really just want to protect themself above all else. Adulthood
- complete confussion; is God who I have always known Him to be or is it all an allusion. NOW
How else do I learn but to study scripture. My prayer right now is that someone will come into my life who wants to delve into the scripture to search. Search for Truth. Search for hope. and Find Peace. Someone that wants to hear my darkest and reveal their own... Your prayers for me are much appreciated.
I am angry.
Angry that He allowed Jacob to die.
Why couldn't he save Jacob and allow a child with a bleak future to pass away.
I am angry that after more than one year here
we have not made new friendships as deep as the friends
we so Foolishly left behind in California.
Angry.
Angry beyond reason.
Angry my Lord would allow Satan to sift me to finely.

God understands your heartache and anger. He has not told us all the whys, we just have to trust Him til He reveals His plan or when we see Him face to face.
You are correct that you need to spend time studying the Word. 1 Peter 5:7-10 tells us satan is constantly on the prowl, he shouts doubts into our minds, especially when we are weak in body, mind or spirit. The Bible contains all the promises, comfort and security you need. 2 Peter 1:3-8, 2 Timothy 3:14-17.
Once we find our solid footing, we can refute the attacks of the evil one with the Scripture we believe in. Ephesians 6 states God has provided the armor to withstand. Don’t believe the lies of the devil, deflect his darts with your shield of faith, use your sword. The battle is the Lord’s, it is by His might we overcome. Zech 4:6 “He is able to keep that which we have committed to Him…”
Step back and reassess what you believe. Personalize the verses with “me” “my”. Know the truths are for you and about you. In my darkest times I find a verse that I focus on, one that reassures me of the hope and confidence I have in the Lord. I am His design, He has a purpose for me, NOTHING can separate me from His love. When I doubt, I don’t realize He is there, but still He never leaves me!
We continue to pray for you both. Just as our love and grief is sent to you, so our Lord is there for you. We love you.
Anger really is okay. Really. God designed us with the ability to be angry. Anger makes us fight injustice, gives us strength to battle on, helps us right wrongs even on others' behalf. The key is "Be angry & sin not" Eph. 4:26. Remember the wonderful hymn
'What a friend we have in Jesus'? The verse in every refrain: Take it to the Lord in Prayer. Read the hymn. Amazing.
And rebuke the devil; he WILL flee! The pain is bad enough without his lies. 'Standing on the promises of Christ my King...' standing on the promises of God.We have to, absolutely have to.
And remember too dearest of Joys, you haven't lost Jacob; he's right where you know him to be. Just as you welcomed him into your arms when he was born, Jesus welcomed him into his arms when he went to heaven. You know right where he is.
All my love. I never cease to pray for you both. A. Susan
